Bits of proof overshadow and mute most aromas on a generally quite bland nose experience.

It did really well in a blind flight as well.

While the glass has become drinkable I also feel as though my palate is a bit shot / blinded now.

I have been blinded to which pour is in which glass for fairness.

A bit bland without much character. Bubblegum abounds on the palate now.

I look forward to including it in this year's blind tasting of Irish whiskey to see how it fares against

definitely not enough time to see just how exceptional this barrel really is, and perhaps a bit of proof-blindness

I opened a box from her to find a note saying that the bottle was wrapped up good (in order to blind me to the label) and to crack it open for a blind taste before unwrapping any further.

I certainly wouldn't turn my nose from trying it again & will hopefully include it in some blind flights
